From the Atlas to Your Door: Our Shipping & Heritage Logistics

At Ouarzart, we aren’t just shipping products; we are transporting centuries of Moroccan heritage across oceans to your doorstep. We understand that when you invest in a hand-knotted Mrirt rug or a delicate terracotta vase, the journey matters as much as the destination. We have refined our logistics to ensure that the distance between the High Atlas Mountains and your American home is bridged with speed, safety, and transparency.

01. The Path of the Artisan (Processing Times)

Unlike mass-produced goods sitting in a suburban warehouse, many of our treasures are finished or inspected by hand once your order is placed.

  • In-Stock Treasures: Most of our leather poufs, copperware, and smaller decor ship from our distribution center within 2–4 business days.

  • The Masterpieces: For large-scale Beni Ourain rugs or custom etched wood furniture, please allow a specialized handling window of 7–10 business days. This ensures the piece is properly cleaned, conditioned, and crated for its international voyage.

02. Crossing Borders: Delivery to the United States

We have partnered with premier global carriers (such as DHL Express and FedEx) to provide a “white-glove” feel to international shipping.

  • Standard Express: Once your order departs, it typically arrives at your US address within 5–8 business days.

  • Real-Time Tracking: From the moment your package leaves Morocco to its arrival at your local sorting facility, you will receive digital updates. You can watch your treasure move from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic in real-time.

  • Customs & Duties: To make your experience as seamless as possible, Ouarzart handles the complexities of customs. For the majority of our US orders, the price you see at checkout is all-inclusive; we manage the paperwork so your delivery isn’t delayed at the border.

03. The Art of the Package (Protective Design)

We treat our packaging as a craft in itself. We know the rigors of global transit, so we take extra measures to protect the integrity of your items:

  • Copper & Brass: Wrapped in pH-neutral paper to prevent premature oxidation and double-boxed to avoid dents.

  • Pottery & Ceramics: Secured in custom-molded padding to ensure they arrive as whole as the day they left the kiln.

  • Rugs & Textiles: Vacuum-sealed or heavy-duty wrapped in moisture-resistant materials to protect against the elements during the sea or air crossing.

04. Large-Scale & Furniture Delivery

For our most substantial pieces such as carved headboards or oversized Tuareg mats we utilize specialized freight partners. These items may require a scheduled delivery window. Our team will contact you directly to coordinate a time that fits your schedule, ensuring the “final mile” of the journey is as graceful as the first.

05. The Unforeseen (Shipping Inquiries)

While we strive for perfection, the world of global shipping can occasionally face “hiccups” weather patterns over the Atlantic or port congestion.

  • Our Promise: If your treasure is delayed, we won’t wait for you to ask. We will proactively reach out with updates.

  • Damages in Transit: In the rare event that the journey was too rough for your item, please take a photo of the packaging and the piece immediately and contact us within 48 hours. We will prioritize a replacement or a repair to ensure your sanctuary remains complete.
